SEO and Social Media are two sides of a coin – they go best, together

When it comes to internet marketing tools then both search engine optimization and social media marketing come into one picture. However, one question often bothers even the experts in this field. That question is, between SEO and Social Media, which one is comparatively more powerful marketing tool?

Where at one side, SEO has always remained one of the most influential tools; on another side social media has literally changed the manner in which people do businesses. If we take a glance on statistical figures then 44% online shoppers opted for search engines in order to search for branded products while the usage of social media witnessed a sharp rise in graph within 6 years and now the usage of social media, accounts for 356%.

There are no qualms that it is an extremely difficult thing to decide. One is better between the two but a recent study did make an effort and tried to bring forward the benefits and drawbacks of using SEO and Social media, respectively. It concluded that SEO and social media are the two sides of a coin and these together make a coin worth it. The study also shows the ways to deliver better results using SEO and social media.

No matter which you prioritize for your company, there is a time for both SEO and social media for them to work together, too. However, if we look carefully then we would realize that both SEO and Social media do complement each other because where SEO is the backbone of e-marketing tools, Social media has become the need of the hour.

Facebook Questions ‘missing’ somebody find it

After gaining an inspiration from Yahoo Q&A, leader of social networking website, Facebook tried to follow the footsteps of Yahoo by launching Facebook Questions but it appears that this effort didn’t bear any fruit. Few people did try to figure out whether Facebook Questions still exists somewhere on the website or not and to their surprise, they didn’t find Facebook Questions anywhere.

If you are mistaking this different app with an option of ‘Ask Question’ then please don’t. The option of ‘Ask Question’ is still very much there on the website under the status box but here we are talking about an altogether different app called ‘Facebook Questions’, which was released two years back. It was launched in a limited beta version and users were able to access this version at facebook.com/?sk=questions. However, the URL was changed to facebook.com/questions after this app was made available to the users of Facebook, way back in March 2011.

At present, these two URL’s have been redirected to the News Feed but the second URL just shows poll questions and now no ‘Questions’ app is visible in the full Apps list. Along those same lines, no Facebook Questions is seen in the Apps section of Facebook under their App Center. When a mail regarding the same was forwarded to the communication team of Facebook all they did was respond with a reply that they are looking into the matter. It is quite apparent that this effort by Facebook didn’t produce the desired result and hence Facebook consider withdrawing it from its website.
